WELCOME MESSAGE

by the parish priest Fr. Ronnie Wickramasinghe

As a digital lifestyle has become the order of the day, I need not stress the importance of a website for our parish. Let me take this opportunity to thank and praise our heavenly father and St. Lucy our loving patron saint for the wisdom and efforts of all those who initiated this project and I shall pray for its success.

The website will enable our parishioners both past and present, living here and abroad to have access to the eventful history of the parish, its past and present activities, both spiritual and social and also browse through the various events that have taken place. The memories that remain dormant in our hearts and minds would be refreshed and rekindled and we could also see through our faults and shortcomings, so that we could rectify them in the future.

The benefits of a website may be many, but the main aim of a parish website is the growth of a sensitive Christian community, deeply rooted in the love of Jesus and always conscious of the downtrodden, powerless and voiceless in the society. Together with St. Lucy, let us always see with our hearts and may the website be yet another steppingstone in our journey with the Lord. May God bless you.

A CALLING TO A RELIGIOUS LIFE

How Do I Know If God Is Calling Me? “You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you” (Jn 15:16). Each of us has a vocation or a call from God – a calling to holiness of life! Therefore, every one of us should start by asking the Lord what He wants us to do with our lives.
